Super Noob question

super noob here, just got my omnia...i am going to uptade to CFO3..have few questions - if i follow the http://www.samsung.com/us/i910/softwareupdate/ guide for vista..will everything go well? Also, what is the first cooked rom that i should try? and is there a guide to flashing without messing up? I am sorry to ask these silly questions, just want everything to go well!

Also these three steps, since my phone is new..do i still have to follow these steps -

# If not previously done, create a standard partnership between the computer and the SCH-i910.

# Select the items you wish to backup, and then allow the synchronization to complete.

# When synchronization is complete and the selected data has been verified to have been successfully synchronized into Microsoft Outlook, Continue to step three.

Also i really want to install Flotanium lite rom..!! sorry..but it looks awesome..any guide would help..

There is a guide on how to flash on each person's rom

- If its new you shouldn't have to backup anything if you don't have any pictures, documents, email,txts etcetc

- Sign up for Myphonebeta through MS as its a handy utility for importing your contacts, photos, txt msgs and other misc items back to your phone.

- Under NO circumstances should you ever unplug the phone while its flashing, doing so will brick your phone and make it unusable.

On what rom you first wish to try? That's personal preference as each user has their own tweaks and personalization done to it

If you follow the directions on the Omnia site for flashing you should have no problems.
