Guest Killer Bee Posted August 12, 2009 Report Posted August 12, 2009 Edited for news - thanks for submitting, Killer Bee!We have a new image that may show that the HTC Leo could turn out to be a slider phone instead of the popular rumor floating around about the return of the clamshell design. This rumor comes hot off the presses, direct from a PM sent to me through our forum, from HTCPedia member Football. Though the member hasn't posted anything on our forum, they have sent over some specs on the HTC Leo that match what we've heard through the rumor mill. The photo, however; is in stark contrast to the images we've seen showing the Leo as a clamshell phone. Since we have no other information matching this claim, we can't prove this true or false, so you'll have to be the judge on this one. Below is the message I received from our member: Hello, I have got HTC Leo real photo: That will be nice if you post that at news page Here also spec: Snapdragon MSM 8250 1Ghz Display 4,3" 480*800 capacitance touch-screen 512 ROM and 320 RAM Camera 8mp with autofocus Wi-Fi, A-GPS Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR, support GSM/EDGE, HSDPA 3,5mm Jack MicroSD Slot G-Sensor, motion sensor and light sensor tsutton comment - Has anyone heard anything more about this specific phone? One thing I was able to find something is this news article with a different photo. Still, does look interesting![Via: HTCpedia]Edit - tsutton - Thanks to Alex (nedge2k) - he pointed out that we have an article on this phone which was posted a month ago - see here which shows that it was codenamed as HTC Firestone which is now known as HTC Leo.

This is quite confusing. The photo in this article is quite different to the earlier Firestone posting by Alex, this one is much more rounded, less angular and neither of which look like the clamshell one in the news article. Do we have three new devices floating around maybe? Or the Firestone had a makeover, in which case that brings it down to just two? Intriguing.
Guest tsutton Posted August 13, 2009 Report Posted August 13, 2009 Since this is just rumor, it's hard to pinpoint which devices are the actual device for HTC Leo. :D I guess we'll know which one when it has been officially announced.

Yes, this is a rumor but I think it's true. A LEO rom has surfaced showing the renders of the HTC LEO above in it's start up sequence. I say that pretty much confirms it, but it's not 100% legit. You can check out the Video by checking the link. Heres some Photos to show the renders.
