Hmmm, I still don't get it. I'm not trying to be argumentative but you've got both top and bottom menus, both 26px, so it should then be 358px (400-52). Then in landscape you've got the same, except 90 degrees rotated, so the dimensions should be 400x158 (or 400x214 if using your calculations).

And what about transparent taskbars, like in WM6.5, where the whole 240x400 background is visible?

If you copy your original pictures that were in your Omnia on your computer and then check their resolution you'll find out that they are in 400x374 resolution.

So someone in Samsung thought that 400x374 would be best for compatibility between portrait and landscape mods.

As to why is that particular resolution chosen for wallpapers...people in Samsung know...

I don't know how many pixels menus take from the picture but everywhere 400x374 is the resolution for wallpapers on i900.

BTW...in WM 6.1 there is only one menu bar....so 400-26=374...
