Omnia i900 question

I live in Bosnia and i will get Samsung Omnia i900 from America and my question is can I use that phone here, it can be bought with "Verizon" (Month to Month, 1-yr and 2yr contract), so if someone buy this phone for me in USA, and send it to me, could I be able to unlock it (It use GSM SIM Card, i910 don`t) and how it will be paid by that "someone".

Example if he buy it trought 1-yr Contract??
