Guest FutureDirt Posted August 17, 2009 Report Posted August 17, 2009 Hi, Im not sure if this will help you but i had a similar issue recently with a T-Mobile UK SIM and an HTC S730 handset. The SIM was fine in any other handset and the handset was fine with any other SIM. It was a combination of the two that caused the same issue..... no service. This only started happening after one of my users unplugged their device from the PC whilst it was in the middle of synchronising. Before this incident the phone and SIm were fine together. I know that doesnt make much sense as to what the cause was, but it was certainly the starting point of the problem. Anyway... using the clear storage option on the handset ( basically a hard reset ), didnt solve the issue. The only way i got the S730 to work with the T-Mobile SIM in question was to actually download the latest ROM from the HTC website and reflash the device. Interestingly.... the ROM i was reflashing the device with was the same ROM that was already present (same version numbers). Anyway... the T-Mobile SIM and S730 now work together flawlessly. :D
Guest Zealster Posted August 18, 2009 Report Posted August 18, 2009 Weird cuz I can switch between T-Mobile and AT&T sim cards just fine. The only big problem is that it completely erases the connection settings if you let it.
