Guest Piemole Posted August 17, 2009 Report Posted August 17, 2009 Don't think this has been asked anywhere yet... Does anyone know a way to disable the animation when the screen orientation changes? I find it annoying and time consuming. Some of them take up to 5 seconds to change at times. Thanks

Thanks the more you have running and the less memory you have in your main storage.... sadly you cant turn it off but you can use one of the ones that use the least time... i dont know which one that is tho i just use system default... but you can find it all in settings/system/motion sensor/rotate animation i have my phone set to only rotate when i hit the camera button and it only rotates to the left or right... i dont know if it takes longer using the sensor to see what direction you are holding the phone

Guest Rooster Misfit Posted August 17, 2009 Report Posted August 17, 2009 well the reason it shows the animation is cause it actually has to load up the other screen.. its not like it can just flip it and be ik.... it has to resize it... some apps if you try and flip during it will either come out wrong or lock up the phone cause they dont support that... when it flips it looks in the app to process how the screen goes... so i dont think a registry hack would work other than no animation... it would still wait for it to process it all you just wouldnt see an animation.... at least i think thats how it works
Guest OzzyW Posted August 22, 2009 Report Posted August 22, 2009 I was wondering if it's possible to get MORE rotation animations ? A friend of me has Polish or Russian Omnia, and it has a certain screen rotation animation where the screen changes to a single white line.. I think this particular animation is pretty cool .. I hope it's possible! :-)

By the way, I am on the i910 CF03 firmware. Edited August 22, 2009 by NilsE
Guest spelvero Posted August 25, 2009 Report Posted August 25, 2009 Google xda forums for "gyrator". It's a super app. that controls ALL the gsensor movemnts of your device and assign functions/exclude apps/ecc... regarding the device orientation. Obviously, it's designed for HTC phones, so you have to install before HTCSENSOR EMULATOR on your omnia to let it to work. I don't use that just because the reason I think you would love in it: NO ANIMATIONS... :D Give it a try.
