Mass Storage Mode Not Working OSX

so here is the deal when i enable mass storage mode the phone turns on Advanced Network Functionality.

This is a problem because when this mode is on i cannot see the My Storage on my macbook pro. It never mounts it.

Before I was able to just turn off Advanced Network Functionality and then enable mass storage mode and I would be good...but this is impossible now.

If i disable advanced networking it disables mass storage mode and if i enable mass storage mode it enables advanced networking... AHHHHHH!!

Anyone know how to fix this?

OK all my edits... arent working... its totally random... wtf!!!

I know its not my computer cause even when i run mount in terminal the drive doesnt show up even unmounted... so its something on the phone side... any suggestions?

You might have to go into disk utility and format it to a partition that mac os can read. It cannot read ntfs which is what windows generally formats to but i know mass storage works on the mac book because i installed macOS into a macbook from it.
