This has been driving me crazy for the past few days..

I currently have mobile shell, s2u2, and fingerkeyboard installed..

I have gone through every setting that I can think of to try and fix this but nothing works..

During a phone call, I want my omnia to "blank" and stay like that to keep me from launching programs with my ear.. I can get it to

stay "locked" with the annoying program that comes with the omnia but the screen will not stay blanked anymore..

It will go blank for a few seconds and without touching any buttons, the screen will light back up and stay that way. I have tried to hit the top

power button and blank it out again and it will stay that way for a bit and then light up..

Any ideas on what is going on here and how to fix it?! I use my phone ALOT during the day at work and with it staying lit for no reason

is really killing the battery. Help!

Settings --> System--> Power--> Calling tab at bottom.

Uncheck the 'Turn off LCD after x seconds'

Hope this helps

No no no.. I really want the screen to stay turned off during my phone calls unless I hit a button in order to save battery life..

Right now the screen will turn blank after a call is connected, then a few seconds later it will light back up and stay that way..

Any ideas?

This might sound silly, but is Wifi on? Having Wifi on on the omnia is known to make the phone spontaneously wake up from standby, and make the screen turn on all on its own.

i was having the same issue... mine was due to s2u2, phone ex and the standard windows "blank screen during call" features being all on at once

solution, make sure the options to blank the screen during a call are off in all 3rd party applications, only use the standard windows/samsung settings.

I notice the same thing on mine, sometimes. I have an i910 with the CF03 rom. Only programs loaded (other than the bunch that came on the VZW ROM) are Google Maps, PocketInformant & SPB Backup.

Did you ever resolve this problem? I have the exact same setup (spb mobile shell, fingerkeyboard, and s2u2, plus a bunch of others).

As strange as it seems, the suggestion

"Settings --> System--> Power--> Calling tab at bottom.

Uncheck the 'Turn off LCD after x seconds'

Hope this helps"

is exactly right. I had the same problem a while back and my phone just crapped out this morning and I had to hard reset and use a backup from a few months ago.

I started seeing this problem again and forgot how I had fixed it(which is why I'm back here haha). There is a conflict when you tell s2u2 to shut off the screen on talk. Go under your S2U2 settings->Power. If "Blank Screen on Talk" is set to ON, then make sure you disable the windows "Turn off LCD" checkbox and the problem goes away.
