Guest sector Posted August 20, 2009 Report Posted August 20, 2009 Hello folks. It's me again :D . Im really spamming you these days with new topics. So the today's topic is that i found a small program that actually triggers the Front Camera of i900 (as far as i know i910 dont have camera?) and you can actually take pictures with it. It is nothing special, picture quality is crap of the front camera but hey  it works!!! You can act like a james bond maybe with a mirror camera ;) (yeah right..) So here is the cab: XTKit.com_Omnia_Front_Camera.cab Thanks to XTkit.com Enjoy
Guest aceofrazgriz Posted August 20, 2009 Report Posted August 20, 2009 Correct good sir. The i910 does not include a front camera as its intent was video calls if i'm not mistaken, which we can't do over CDMA networks (currently.) Nice app to have for self portraits i suppose lol. You do have some good finds, i'm sure we all don't mind your "spamming" :D
Guest xeeder Posted August 20, 2009 Report Posted August 20, 2009 (edited) Wow, Nice! Thx! Edit: Where can I find it ^^? Edit 2: Nvm, found it :D Edited August 21, 2009 by xeeder
Guest Number22 Posted August 21, 2009 Report Posted August 21, 2009 Hmm, it works, but the aspect ratio is waay off. Is there a way to set the resolution to 352x288? Oh, and it didn't put a shortcut in the start menu :D
Guest HellboyMC Posted August 21, 2009 Report Posted August 21, 2009 Finally, only problem is the resolution and quality as the quality is worse than on my first phone that had camera :D, it's easier to just turn the phone and use the camera on the back, not to mention much more effective

It would make it more user friendly

You do have some good finds, i'm sure we all don't mind your "spamming" :D Verizon just crippled it. CDMA users can do video calls, just we need to send the video AND audio as data. I know because when I went on vacation, I video chatted with aim on my computer tethered to my phone. We just need a way to do that with phones instead of computers. Verizon just can't tell the difference, probably, between internet browsing, and the streaming needed for the video chat (and their motto: if we can't find a way to charge them for it, we won't let them have it).
Guest UncleBeer` Posted August 22, 2009 Report Posted August 22, 2009 Yeah, none of the 3 available size ratios are really useable on the Omnia. Any chance of adding options such as 240x400?
Guest Koofteh Posted August 23, 2009 Report Posted August 23, 2009 Yeah, none of the 3 available size ratios are really useable on the Omnia. Any chance of adding options such as 240x400? What do you mean by usable? I think 240x240 looks the most normal, perhaps that's the camera's native resolution? You can tap on the screen in the white area and select the size of your picture manually... it doesn't work too well but keep in mind this app is just for fun.
Guest CroatianOmnia Posted September 2, 2009 Report Posted September 2, 2009 lol,sometimes i use it as a mirror :D
Guest Perali Posted September 7, 2009 Report Posted September 7, 2009 Hi, Could it be used for video chat programs like vzochat which cannot get front camera working yet?
Guest StarVision Posted September 7, 2009 Report Posted September 7, 2009 The quality of photo is so bad!
Guest Compuse Posted September 8, 2009 Report Posted September 8, 2009 Should be .3MP :) as in bad indeed!
