Headset Jack and LED's Not Working

HTC Hero - Tmobile G2 Touch - My Headset jack won't recogise any headset and the LED's and Tracker and Button backlights have stopped working.

This seems to be a common issue having searched google - just wondered if anyone knows of a fix or if this is to patched in the next firmware release or whether it's a manufacturing fault.

It seems to be a manufacturing defect. Some people have it after only a couple of weeks:

I would get it replaced asap.

I returned mine to the store and they replaced it with a new one, don't think it's a software defect.
