Guest stuffman64 Posted August 26, 2009 Report Posted August 26, 2009 I've had my Omnia for a little over a week now, and I'm having a lot of fun trying out new ROMs and seeing the work of this great community. It's really cool to put some cutting-edge work on my phone to play around with. As of right now, I think I've found a configuration I like. I'd still like to flash some other ROMs and play around with any new releases, and while it's trivial to install my favorite apps with XDA_UC and restore my PIM functions with PIM Backup, every time I go back to the setup I like, I still have to fiddle around with all the system settings to really get everything exactly how I like. What I'd like to be able to do is take a snapshot of the device as it is right now, and be able to restore it if I decide I don't want to keep another ROM I flash to. I don't have anything installed on "My Storage" or the MicroSD card, so I'd imagine if I could just image the Device memory I'd be able to achieve what I want. Is there any simple way to do this? I've tried searching, but I guess I just suck at using (or am too impatient to use) forum search tools. Thanks for all your help.
Guest stuffman64 Posted August 28, 2009 Report Posted August 28, 2009 Anyone? I know there are quite a few third-party backup apps, but I'm unsure if they're what I want. Say I use Resco backup and make a backup, flash to another ROM, decide I don't like it, and flash back to the ROM I have now. If I restore the backup, will my Omnia be 100% exactly like it was right after I backed up?

Guest stuffman64 Posted August 28, 2009 Report Posted August 28, 2009 I may not have been clear on what I was asking; I don't want to go back to the original Verizon crap that was on my phone, I just want to be able to revert to where I am right now (Blazingwolf Night 1.4, with all the programs and settings how I want them) if I flash to a different ROM and decide I don't like it.

Guest stuffman64 Posted August 28, 2009 Report Posted August 28, 2009 Thanks... I guess I just want to avoid re-setting all the settings. And thanks, Blazingwolf, for making a really great ROM!

And thanks, Blazingwolf, for making a really great ROM! there is a prgm that u can configure to backup all your settings, prgms, etc that makes it easy to then restore once you have flashed.. i'm never used it as it looked way to complicated.. its called sushami or something.. there is always sprite backup and spb backup..
