Hi all, I set menu button for screen rotation, but it only rotates clockwise. I can't find any setting to make it rotate counterclockwise, I rotate screen only for typing and I like it better when speaker part is in my right hand. I have i900 with wm6.1 ROM. Please help.

if u set it to automatic screen rotation, it should rotate in the direction the omnia is tilted.

if u want it the other direction, then turn it the other way. on manual rotation, u will see screen settings.

click on it and u will be given the option to have the omnia in portrait, landscape (right handed) or landscape (left handed)

choose one and select ok.

i believe this should answer ur question.

I know that but I don't want to go to settings every time I write SMS, and I don't want to have it autorotate, I want to press a button to rotate screen counterclockwise. Now when I press menu button it rotates clockwise and I can't find settings to set it to counterclockwise.

I had the same question a couple months ago, here's what worked for me:

Download and install WkTask and AE Button Plus software.

Map your button of choice using AE Button to 'Run Application' choose WkTask (not WkTask launcher) and in the optional parameters box type "/r" (no quotations).

Good luck!

Dude go in to setting- personal - buttons - program buttons

then assign a button with <rotate screen> its near the top of the drop down list to what every button you want

push it the screen rotates easy

There is a cab around here somewhere called "Advanced Config" (search for it). It has a tweak to set default rotate to be 90 or 270 degree. Maybe this will do it for you.

Advanced Config did the trick to rotate 90 degrees, but only for first rotation, then it's backto 270 degrees, weird.

Did you do a soft reset after changing AC to 90? That's the only other thing I can think of.

Read the post... he's already got a rotate button set, but its turning clockwise (so the Dpad is on his right) but he wants it to be on his left.

Interestingly, when you're in Opera and you long press and select "Landscape mode", it rotates counter-clockwise, so there must be the function somewhere...

In Advanced Config under screen I set 90 degrees which is by the way default setting, soft reset, after soft reset first rotation is 90 degrees, back to portrait, next and every other rotation is 270 degrees, and values are changed in Advanced Config back to 270 degrees.
