Guest ronaldb3 Posted August 29, 2009 Report Posted August 29, 2009 Hey guys, I want to put the newest WM 6.5 thing in my i900, I open the program, follow the intructions (turn off, plug, turn on) and it still doesn´t detect the device! I´m under Windows Seven. All the cooked roms you find here must be flashed under Windows XP, either Home or Professional. Can you run under a Windows XP session with Windows-7 ?? Ron...

As I live in Brazil, google shows local websites first, without success. Wasn´t able to download EXEcutor from that website, but searched here in the forums and found it. Will atempt do upgrade it now, thanks!
Guest FelipeRRM Posted August 29, 2009 Report Posted August 29, 2009 followed a method there and puff. Fail, it just keeps asking for the device.
Guest Billus Posted August 30, 2009 Report Posted August 30, 2009 First off, disable ActiveSync by un-ticking the "connect by usb" option under connections. Run Grand Prix like normal by loading all necessary rom parts. Just keep resetting the phone if it fails to recognise the device by inserting the stylus in the reset button. I recommend to tick the option in Grand Prix "download immediately to device". It may download the eboot section then fail to recognise the device again. Just keep resetting the phone, it will find it. A few might disagree with me on the option to tick "download immediately to device" but it works for me nevertheless. It usually takes me around 7 goes or so, maybe more. Good luck!
Guest meabigbaldguy Posted September 1, 2009 Report Posted September 1, 2009 Try setting up and running XP in a virtual machine.
Guest NightKKry Posted September 2, 2009 Report Posted September 2, 2009 How long does it usually take to flash a rom? I've let it run for an hour, and it's still at 6%. Is that right? My xp computer has no internet connection.
Guest bpivk Posted September 2, 2009 Report Posted September 2, 2009 My phone needs about 20 minutes to flash. I never timed it so I wouldn't know. I just run the flash and watch some commercials or surf a little and that's it.
Guest NightKKry Posted September 2, 2009 Report Posted September 2, 2009 O.o Can anybody else tell me about their flashing experience? Thanks for the input bpivk.
Guest naynada Posted September 2, 2009 Report Posted September 2, 2009 (edited) O.o Can anybody else tell me about their flashing experience? Thanks for the input bpivk. 20 minutes sounds about right. Maybe even less. 1 hour for 6% only?? sounds like something's gone wrong... =[ Edited September 2, 2009 by naynada
Guest NightKKry Posted September 2, 2009 Report Posted September 2, 2009 Oh... in that case, could you point me in the right direction to resolve this issue? Again, is it because I have no internet? Thanks in advance..
