WIFI confusion

What setting does the Omnia have "out-of-the-Box" and can it be changed? I'm thinking of a new router and would like the Omnia to be up to speed (pardon the pun)

The device can natively connect to 802.11b & g networks. I'm not sure about 802.11a, but it doesn't have 802.11n (it can connect using b or g, if the network is mixed b/g/n). This cannot be corrected at this time, as this setting is hardware-related (though I'm prolly going to need a confirmation there).

Oh, and b & g are always active, despite the setting in SKTools showing "Off" (this setting is only effective on select HTC devices).
