Seamless MP3 playing on Android/HTC Hero

Hi all,

I was wondering if there is some manner to play mp3s seamlessly on my HTC Hero. Basically I have a mixed CD which I've ripped to mp3s so be able to switch between tracks easily (instead of having one long mp3). Now the default media player on my Hero takes about 2-3 seconds to switch to the next track which is somewhat annoying when listening to such mixes. Is there an alternative player which would be able to seamlessly play these mp3s? Or perhaps another file format which I could use?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Wait for the update, I have couple hundred tracks on my SDcard and the newer rom takes about 1 second to change tracks.
