Guest Milorad :) Posted September 1, 2009 Report Posted September 1, 2009 My storage totally disappeared after hard reset. :D I bought the 8 Gb card and I use it for storage but I have a problem, I can not enter in messaging. Probably because messages are used as memory storage. How do I change the message to use memory card, please help me. Sorry for my poor english.
Guest necosino Posted September 1, 2009 Report Posted September 1, 2009 This happens a lot to me (i910) Just go to settings - connections - USB -> Mass Storage: My Storage Connect to a computer and make sure that the computer sees the drive with all your files and stuff. If it says to format it, just unplug, wait a second, and reconnect. Once you can see your files on the computer, unplug your phone, and you should be able to see My Storage on your phone again! Then just change USB connection back to ActiveSync, and you'll be good to go.

I can not configure settings - connections - USB -> Mass Storage: My Storage, expel me that there is no storage. I have tried everything but failed to regain storage. Guest arthurjohngeronimo Posted May 24, 2010 Report Posted May 24, 2010 Does someone know how cost changes the whole motherboard? Thanks in advance. my 16gb my storage also has the same problem as yours. yours also is 16gb or 8gb? someone told me that this happens only on 16gb .. id just like to clarify coz if i send my phone to samsung service center and still have this problem later, that would be really frustrating..
Guest ecoboard Posted May 24, 2010 Report Posted May 24, 2010 (edited) It happens to me every other time... my storage (16gb, onboard) suddenly disappears and moments later come back again Edited May 24, 2010 by ecoboard

Guest AirMJ Posted May 25, 2010 Report Posted May 25, 2010 (edited) Hi, I have the same problem . "My Storage" dismounted after the phone fall on the ground (my fault). Now I cannot go into sms messaging . Very very very stupid to Samsung - no internal storage=no sms ! Other phones can do messaging without internal flash card. That's what I found so far - when I install 3-rd party software (I think SMSSender was the name), I managed to send SMS, still not possible to receive. I will try to flash with the new ROM from Omnia Lite (no internal storage). The other hope is in Android Rom, but many things are not working yet. If anyone have ideas, or can fix something in WM to make possible sms without internal storage - 10x. P.S. I've tried many standart custom roms - that don't help - no sms in all cases. Guest ecoboard Posted May 25, 2010 Report Posted May 25, 2010 is this problem ROM related? I guess not... it's been happening for the last 10+ roms updates.. i've noticed something odd, though... a process named MassStorageDetector.exe running.
Guest AirMJ Posted May 26, 2010 Report Posted May 26, 2010 My assumption is that the SMS problem is Phone part related, not WM part. Somehow it seeks for that internal memory and don't find it ... and something in messaging broke. ecoboard, interesting observasion ... did you try to kill MassStorageDetector.exe or to stop it in the services. May be with SKTools it's possible.

May be with SKTools it's possible. I've managed to stop it with SkTools but the 16gb is still visible... nothing wrong happened... from what I've found on the web, I would say that the MassStorageDetector is related to the Usb connection mode (activesync vs my storage)
Guest AirMJ Posted June 1, 2010 Report Posted June 1, 2010 (edited) Ok guys, the solution is ready ! The problem with broken/dismounted storage and unavailable sms/mms service solves with the Majino ROM - http://www.modaco.com/content-page/307330/...0/#entry1296146 . May be there have to be topix with FAQs. I think such a problems/solutions have to be in a separate topic. Edited June 1, 2010 by AirMJ
