Guest Koofteh Posted September 1, 2009 Report Posted September 1, 2009 This is brilliant, thanks Sector. It's tough giving up 2mb on the device memory but hey, what can you do.

Thanks for the reply! And also, will the comm manager be shown on the HOME page? (in the scrolling menu) (Win 6.5)
Guest sd1 Posted September 4, 2009 Report Posted September 4, 2009 What exactly are the steps to get this to work? i can see the signal on my laptop but i cannot get online. Are all the steps mentioned on the other threads still necessary? (jaguar wifi settings, ip setting, and so on...) Or does this just work by setting up the router name and password and finding it on the laptop and connecting? Like i said, i can connect locally but not getting any internet access. Btw, i have an I910 vzw.

Guest sd1 Posted September 4, 2009 Report Posted September 4, 2009 i thought it should work that way(out of the box) but for some reason i cannot get internet access. I'm using adryn's 2.0 cfo3 rom. I don't really need it, but i would like to have the functionality of this program. Maybe that would get me to use it more. I'll probably stick to the usb ICS if i can't get it to work in the next couple of days. But, either way thanks for the help and you all do good work here.

I have the exact same problem... it finds the network, connects, but I can't "get out" to the internet. I get no "globe" icon in my network properties in Vista and every site I get a "cannot connect" error. I am using the same ROM, so maybe it's specific to Adryn's roms? Although, I am curious to try the new 6.5.1 builds, so I might be up for a flash soon here.

Although, I am curious to try the new 6.5.1 builds, so I might be up for a flash soon here. I too have this same problem. I'm running BW 1.4 Night ROM. Just today, i upgraded to BW WM7 Blue ROM that has this cab cooked in, and again the same issue with my Vista computer. I did some investigating and I am able to connect to the WiFi network fine, but I am not able to get an IP address. Is it necessary to assign a static IP to my computer? If so, what subnet and gateway addy should I use? I am going to see about trying this on a Windows XP computer as well. Sorry if I'm being ignorant of another thread that might cover the requirements. I.E. The possible need for a static IP setting on the WiFi card on the computer, etc. Edited September 8, 2009 by Catrinisin
Guest bobekk Posted September 9, 2009 Report Posted September 9, 2009 thnx for port sector i have 2 quick questions: 1) how(where) i can change language of descriptions 2) i cannot install it on my device cuz i got msg that i have no rights to install it

Guest tedkord Posted September 10, 2009 Report Posted September 10, 2009 does this app affect the gps in any way? WhenI first installed I lost all data connection. Got that ironed out in settings but then no wifi - that is it connected to my router but "cannot find server." Removing it's reservtion from my router then letting it setup again cured that. But now I have no gps function. Location is on. Google maps is set to COM8 and 57600 baud. It says no receiver. BAF can't find it either. Are there any drivers cabbed up for gps that I could reinstall? If need be I'll simply reflash CF03 and put a custom 6.5 rom back on. I'd rather avoid all that if possible. Any suggestions? Thanks......
Guest Darthlord Posted September 10, 2009 Report Posted September 10, 2009 The firts time i started the progam it worked well but in the next day it wont worked anymore and not even the default comm manager was opening.
Guest jaycarl Posted September 11, 2009 Report Posted September 11, 2009 same here, first time it worked like a charm. second time could not get it to work no matter what i did. kind of buggy, its just so much easier to us the cable. thanks anyway though.
Guest compnird Posted September 16, 2009 Report Posted September 16, 2009 I think I already know the answer to this but I am going to ask anyway. I am currently on the standard Verizon CF03 Official ROM. Would this work on there or do I have to load up a ROM that already has the ICS set up?
