Guest a.s.t.e.k. Posted September 1, 2009 Report Posted September 1, 2009 Hi all, just found this, http://www.endorser.org/wm/zensor , works with HTC .dlls for G-sensor. This is description from website: "Zensor 2 is an application for automatically rotating your screen using HTC Touch Pro / HTC Touch Diamond's GSensor. Unlike most other applications, Zensor is written to only detect firm moves, skipping moves done by your mobile moving in your pocket or when walking. In order to change orientation, first make sure you keep your HTC phone in a horizontal position (face up) and firmly move it to either landscape or portrait mode, to force a change. In order to make Zensor learn a new application (and whether to rotate it or not), simply move the device firmly from a face up position to an upside down position. This application is free. " It has teach mode so you can teach it in which apps to rotate, and which not to rotate. Excellent!!!

Guest blazingwolf Posted September 2, 2009 Report Posted September 2, 2009 Can this be used on the Omnia Doitall76 With the tests that I have done. No.
Guest Koofteh Posted September 2, 2009 Report Posted September 2, 2009 It certainly does work on the Omnia, you just need the HTCEmu .dll's and you should be set. I tried it and it's pretty nifty, definitely would lead to a lot less accidental screen rotations. The only thing I don't like is that the screen stays up if you set it to start when Windows Mobile starts.

I just installed it to device memory and that was it, works as advertised. My sensor .dll's weren't cooked in (I just added them myself) but it should be the same I think, I just grabbed them off here.

Guest blazingwolf Posted September 2, 2009 Report Posted September 2, 2009 Oh, hmm... maybe you weren't rotating it vigorously enough? Shake the phone enough and it will eventually get the message (probably, mind did). :D That's what I mean. It rotated just like it did before I installed the program. I did not need to add any extra movement to get it to rotate.

Guest Piemole Posted September 2, 2009 Report Posted September 2, 2009 So what exactly constitutes a "firm rotation"?
Guest jason07 Posted September 2, 2009 Report Posted September 2, 2009 (edited) That's what I mean. It rotated just like it did before I installed the program. I did not need to add any extra movement to get it to rotate. Works great for me... Just change the top setting (tolerance) to slightly above half, and the orientation setting to just over 3/4. Doesn't rotate if I just turn it, but if i shake it or turn it fast it turns. Great little app :D I made a quick video of it working pretty well. Obviously you can make it easier/harder to rotate depending on your preferences. I'll post the link here in a few minutes once it's uploaded. Edited September 2, 2009 by jason07
Guest a.s.t.e.k. Posted September 2, 2009 Report Posted September 2, 2009 It works for me, but after S2U2 lock and when unlocked it stops rotating, it's still active in taskmanager but it doesn't rotate.
Guest jason07 Posted September 2, 2009 Report Posted September 2, 2009 Ok here's the vid. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AtFaRiW2R_o
Guest blazingwolf Posted September 2, 2009 Report Posted September 2, 2009 You should disable automatic rotation and then it works. Uh, yeah. Tried that too.
Guest Kev23 Posted September 8, 2009 Report Posted September 8, 2009 (edited) Hi, I found that I had to also activate the the HTC files within the HTCEmu (Settings -> System -> HTCEmu Calibration).... after that it works perfectly. Wrong screen shot :) (says remove, cos I already clicked activate) Edited September 8, 2009 by Kev23
