The Sony Ericsson Xperia X2 is official! (and officially rather tasty!)

Detailed at the Sony Ericsson product page, the the X2 features a seriously ninja set of specs including...
  • Windows Mobile 6.5 with Xperia Panels
  • Tri-Band HSPA 900/1900/2100
  • Quad-Band EDGE 850/900/1800/1900
  • 3.2" WVGA screen
  • Arc-sliding QWERTY keyboard
  • aGPS
  • WiFi
  • TV Out
  • DLNA Certified
  • Black and Silver colour choices
  • 8.1MP camera with 'video light'
  • PlayNow Arena

Looks like a very nice device and a worth successor to the X1! Thoughts?

The keyboards windows key seems a little odd... And the keyboard as a whole looks like it's trying to be a laptop one... Would be interesting to see what it's like to use!

looking like a very worthy successor to my X1.

But saying that my X1 has a lot of life left in it yet, also looking around the right size for me too, though the keyboard does look a bit weird & not sure how it'll be to type on.

It looks very nice indeed. I like my X1, but this looks like its a decent improvement, with the flush-with-casing (larger) screen, tilt sensor, 8.1Mp camera and video out, and retaining that lovely arc-slider and the pocket-able dimensions.

I'll definitely be watching this one closely...

Will it use STANDARD connectors?, mini-usb, micro-usb? for charging-connecting to computer?, or a sony propietary?

I hope they'll be standard.... please.....

Same cpu as X1, and all the other HTC devices, ridiculous price as X1 release, no 850 HSDPA ... DOA to me. Great job Sony!
