Guest cerberez Posted September 3, 2009 Report Posted September 3, 2009 (edited) I've read that some people are using a kind of aGPS that downloads packets of data about where satellites will be to get a quicker lock, but they also mention going to settings under "enhanced gps settings." Also, I don't see any "enhanced gps settings," which I hear mentioned in a bunch of threads about XTRA. I did a registry hack to show GPS settings, but I only saw "normal" GPS settings, where you choose a COM port and stuff. Can I get to those settings somehow? I use a verizon i910. I'm currently using a BGill 6.5 CF03 ROM if that makes a difference. Please help a clueless beginner! Thanks so much! -Ezra Edited September 3, 2009 by cerberez
Guest bluetooth_decay Posted September 4, 2009 Report Posted September 4, 2009 The "Enhanced GPS Settings" applet is only on the i900 I believe. As for getting quicker locks, Google for "HTC QuickGPS Omnia port" -- should net you a .cab that will periodically downoad the satellite ephemeris data and help the phone get lock quicker.
Guest 70blzr Posted September 4, 2009 Report Posted September 4, 2009 here is the cab file.Quick_gps.cab
