Remove unwanted default apps

Is there an overview somewhere that gives a clue what to remove if I want to get rid of the htc mail app (I only use gmail). I have removed the sync-app (Using linux on my desktop, so didn't need it).

and what I'm looking for is a list (or a hint) to what files I need to remove to get rid of this or that app.

Hm, would /system/app/mail.* be a place to start?
