Samsung i780 glitch and wrinkle?

So glad you guys are here - migrated from Blackberry and it has become a bit complicated!

Reason I came here really was because my i780 keeps jumping to the googlemail password page in the middle of whatever else I'm doing.

I've tried turning it off for a bit and re-booting but it keeps doing it.

Second thing - a really useful part of smartphone is that autotext changes il to I'll etc. However I'd like to add other ones and use it as a macro store like wot I used to do.

I've tried cutting the dictionary file, editing it and putting it back - but apparently i don't have rights to do it. Hey it's my phone! who can give me rights? I'd really like to know!

Anyway if anyone has time and inclination to help on these two subjects i'd be really really grateful.
