Guest simoniel Posted September 7, 2009 Report Posted September 7, 2009 Hi all I'll try to keep this short as possible. Few days back my screen align went bad, all part of the screen was ok but the left upper part. I tried to do the screen alignement but the phone wouldnt let me finish it, every time i pressed on the last point it just returned me to the first, the central one. Today i decided to do a hard reset of the phone, which i did, and now the problem remains. But this time i cant do anything cause the phone doesnt boot cause it gets stucked on the screen alignement, which keeps cycling and never ends. I tried to flash the phone with DZIA5 rom, but cant do that either cause my country selection is on Croatia(which i cant change cause the phone wont go further than screen align) and the flash wont start. Any of u maybe have an idea how to resolve that or is there a some kind of rom which doesnt need the change of country settings. Tnx in advance and srry about my bad english...
Guest simoniel Posted September 7, 2009 Report Posted September 7, 2009 tried flashing it with shokka9 cooked rom and still the same issue, it wont finish the screen align, it still going into circles:( think its service time :)
Guest rigor.m Posted September 7, 2009 Report Posted September 7, 2009 tried flashing it with shokka9 cooked rom and still the same issue, it wont finish the screen align, it still going into circles:( think its service time :) I have the same problem, cannot align the screen properly because the touch screen is inaccurate... I solved the problem by finishing the align routine NOT PRESSING ON THE CROSSES, but a little to the side , you need to do that on that part of the screen that is bad ( the center for me ) and keep trying and trying until you find the right ( or wrong ) spot... After that you can change registry to allow a larger calibration error... Also I hear there is a way of bypassing the alignment altogether but you need to search for that on the forum..
Guest Zealster Posted September 7, 2009 Report Posted September 7, 2009 Flash to s0cks 6.1 ROM. His does auto alignment. Just wait for the alignment screen to popup and I think touch it and then it'll restart. Plus it's an awesome ROM anyways.
Guest dochi Posted September 7, 2009 Report Posted September 7, 2009 My omnia got the same problem....I used to align the screen by some places side to the cross too, but it failed sometimes. If u reli not able to do so, I have another solution. Try to findĀ MSP_RemoteAlignment, a program by codefactory, which can skip the screen alignment
Guest simoniel Posted September 7, 2009 Report Posted September 7, 2009 lo all tnx for your responses. i tried to align as u suggested rigor, but havent had any luck so i flashed the phone with shoks 6.1 rom and managed to turn it on :). bad thing is i've lost my contacts which were stored in phone but luckely the phone works. alignemet is still quite annoying, but i'm managing to use the phone.
Guest Zealster Posted September 7, 2009 Report Posted September 7, 2009 That's always a hassle to lose your contacts. At least your phone is back though! I always sync my phone with my computer so my contacts are always on my computer if my phone suddenly decides it hates me. :)
Guest simoniel Posted September 7, 2009 Report Posted September 7, 2009 :) yeah, i sync it too, but for some strange reason i couldnt do it today before the first flash, both on xp an vista. so i'm stuc with my old sync :) . yeah the phone its working but i think i'll call samsung service tomorrow for a digitizer change, i cant live with this :). tnx again for your help guyz...
