tv out problems

i got a tv out cable for my phone just recently and when i connect it to my tv only the sound works

its only a black screen with sound

when i go to the tv out viewer its says to connect a tv out cable

can someone help me

Either the cable is bad, the tv connectors aren't connected, or something isn't being recognized. I would first try another tv set (preferably with direct plug-ins for all 3 cables (Red, yellow, and white). If that still doesn't work, I'd try to return or exchange the cable.

I bought mine off eBay and I don't need to configure anything, it automatically switched from 4:3 to 16:9 tv sets and the picture has always been great as soon as I plug it in without any tinkering.
