Guest kingdom master Posted February 1, 2003 Report Posted February 1, 2003 some gb and gba roms are named .pd how do i use them with the emulator? thanks ;)
Guest frijj2k Posted February 1, 2003 Report Posted February 1, 2003 I havnt tried this but i would take a wild guess and say rename the files to .gb or .gbc Makes sense..... Dave
Guest Emad Posted February 1, 2003 Report Posted February 1, 2003 Sounds like they may be palm gameboy emulator files, although those are normally .pdb..
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted February 1, 2003 Report Posted February 1, 2003 You can only use specific roms ending in .gb or .gbc the ones ending in .gb are safe to rename the extension to .gbc anything else will not be compatable. I agree with Emad I'm pretty sure the files are for the Palm emulator If you want to check, post the same question in the gameboy topic http://www.modaco.com/viewtopic.php?t=2315 If you do let me know then I will delete this thread to save anyone crossposting.
Guest spacemonkey Posted February 1, 2003 Report Posted February 1, 2003 Yep, should avoid crossposting... but here's the answer. The gnuboy emulator only looks for files called .gb and .gbc You can name anything at all you like to these extensions and the emulator will find it. At the end of the day, if it's valid it will load, if not it won't. Easy as that. And if the ROMs you have don't work with gnuboy... get some other ROMs.
