Guest dutchphoto Posted September 11, 2009 Report Posted September 11, 2009 I just found this browser I didn't knew about UCWEB v6.xx seems to work quite good and fast. I have to play with it myself so I can't yet tell much more about it. It does support multiple windows to open. So not only one like with PIE There's a download managwer buildin and a file-explorer. Its got a lot of settings. Run goods in Landscape. Fully Omnia (240*400) compatoble You can download a free copy HERE Pick the right one. I made some screen shots.
Guest necosino Posted September 11, 2009 Report Posted September 11, 2009 Interesting, will definitely be checking this out. Might be a good upload browser by the sounds of it. :)
Guest Shemmy Posted September 11, 2009 Report Posted September 11, 2009 It's pretty decent. If you don't want desktop rendering, I'd say this browser is nice than Opera Mini.
Guest Root-dir Posted September 12, 2009 Report Posted September 12, 2009 ive been using this for a while i use it to browse forums and such that i dont want to argue with opera and or iris about its quite good better than opera mini imo

Guest cmalone Posted September 13, 2009 Report Posted September 13, 2009 Thanks for posting this!!!! unbelievably fast. and i love the swipe to go forward and back-very slick everyone needs to try this. even if u only use it for certain sites.
Guest willingtonyuan Posted September 13, 2009 Report Posted September 13, 2009 This is the fast mobile browser in China...
Guest UncleBeer` Posted September 13, 2009 Report Posted September 13, 2009 Sure wish they'd keep up with the translations for newer versions. Last official English version is 6.3, but the Chinese latest is 7. A world of difference.
Guest eufouria Posted September 14, 2009 Report Posted September 14, 2009 I'm thoroughly enjoying 6.3, what are the new features of 7? Everyone should at least try this, 5 minutes and I was convinced it is the best browser I've used yet. So quick to load!
Guest UncleBeer` Posted September 14, 2009 Report Posted September 14, 2009 (edited) Version 7 is mainly just 'eye candy', but if they're gonna compete with Opera, it's worth the investment of time. Also, version 6.3 won't do animated GIFs for me, but 7 would. If only I could decipher all them dang boxes! :) UCWeb's also really light on data as well. Great for those on a limited plan. Guest Root-dir Posted September 14, 2009 Report Posted September 14, 2009 I like UCWEB. Forget about IRIS. It been taken bij RIM. Not available anymore! Bah i will continue to use the last iris version till someone makes another comperable webkit browser for windows mobile or fennec becomes stable I considered starting a webkit winmo project but i dont have the time to devote to it right now so i have to hope someone else does, dorothy takes off or someone else does it themselves, untill then iris is still faster than opera.
Guest eufouria Posted September 27, 2009 Report Posted September 27, 2009 (edited) Here's an unofficial English translation of the UCWEB7 beta by user TJ27 from the UCWEB forums. http://forum.ucweb.com/thread-2354-1-1.html *EDIT* Woops, probably should've tried this before posting, STILL MISSING MANY ENGLISH CHARACTERS.UCWEB_7.0.0.33_6500_31_09083119.cab Edited September 28, 2009 by eufouria
