Guest Pabs(Sco) Posted September 14, 2009 Report Posted September 14, 2009 Firstly, I've not been to MaDaCo for a long time, since I ditched my old WM phone :) a bad mistake I admit. My contract runs out soon(ish) and I am wondering is the Hero has any issues on the O2 (UK) network. I know there has been issues with Vodaphone.
Guest Paul Posted September 14, 2009 Report Posted September 14, 2009 30th October 2004 you joined, old skool! :) I'm on O2, and the Hero works great. P

P I'm on o2, but I do have problems sending MMS messages whilst having GPRS always connected. Anyone else having this issue? I have to disconnect Mobile Internet to be able to send/receive MMS.

Guest chucky.egg Posted September 14, 2009 Report Posted September 14, 2009 I do have problems sending MMS messages I don't use MMS really, but mine isn't working for sending vCards (and presumably not for sending normal MMS either). I figure if iPhone users can manage without MMS for so long, then so can I! :)
Guest Rich Cranney Posted September 14, 2009 Report Posted September 14, 2009 (edited) ok so this is the issue with mms. gonna give it a try and report back. by the way is it possible to have your APN settings for both mms and internet? My Settings are: Internet Name: O2 MOBILE WEB APN: mobile.o2.co.uk Proxy: <Not Set> Port: <Not Set> Username: O2web (or bypass if I was full speed no image reduction mobile internet) Password: Password (this is default, I don't change it) Server: <Not Set> MMSC: <Not Set> MMS proxy: <Not Set> MMS port: <Not Set> MMS protocol: WAP 2.0 MCC: 234 MNC: 10 APN type: default MMS Name: O2 MMS Postpay APN: wap.o2.co.uk Proxy: <Not Set> Port: <Not Set> Username: O2wap Password: Password (this is default, I don't change it) Server: <Not Set> MMSC: http://mmsc.mms.o2.co.uk:8002 MMS proxy: 193.113.200.195 MMS port: 8080 MMS protocol: WAP 2.0 MCC: 234 MNC: 10 APN type: mms My Amended Internet (seems to work to do both) Name: O2 MOBILE WEB APN: wap.o2.co.uk Proxy: <Not Set> Port: <Not Set> Username: O2wap Password: Password (this is default, I don't change it) Server: <Not Set> MMSC: http://mmsc.mms.o2.co.uk:8002 MMS proxy: 193.113.200.195 MMS port: 8080 MMS protocol: WAP 2.0 MCC: 234 MNC: 10 APN type: default Daft, but seems to work by amending the selected (one with greed dot) to the above. It disconnects mobile internet, connects and sends message, then connects back to internet. Not a good solution though as I want to use "bypass" as my web username to get best internet capabilities as using these settings, the pictures are really grainy.
