Hey guys! Check out this app over on the xda forum: my apologies in advance if this is already a known topic. I have been using it for about a week and it, of course, works great. It's just a simple shut down app just like PSshut XP that is in most of the cooked roms. Hey chefs try this one out in some upcoming roms!

Didn't know about it, so just installed it. First impression... looks nice but can't seem to map the hardware key...

does it really turn off the mobile or just the screen?

just tried it and the restart works fine, but as with psShutxp it only turns the screen off, and not the actual phone.. Quite a cool app though. Needs skinning :)

@Sector: Lol I never tried the actual slide to shutdown. Nope, shutdown only turns screen off. oh and Jefferey, there is one cab on the page that maps it to the power button when you hold it (haven't tested that one.) but you know what, what would be the point if the app does not actually shut down the device? Hmm.. i guess the app needs some work still....I still like the simplicity of it though.
