Guest needurhelp Posted September 19, 2009 Report Posted September 19, 2009 hi guys, My name is chris and i'm from bradford, uk. I have been with orange for a long time now and I just realised yesterday that my contract is about to run out on 21st sept 2009. So I gave upgrades a call and for £25pm, I've been offered an 18mth contract with:- 1400 min xnet, unlimited landline calls 500mb browsing 100 text (don't use these much) Now my question is that they gave me several choices of phones and I can't make my mind up what I should go for. I have listed in priority order what things I want to mainly use my phone for:- 1. Calls 2. Browsing the net/downloading (For emailing, accessing msn, etc) I also prefer a hard keyboard, rather than touchscreen which can be fiddly at the best of times, although if someone can persuade me then i might not bother with hard keyboard. The other thing is that I would like to have wi-fi too as this will allow me to connect to the net via a wireless router at home, saving my bandwidth. Some of the phones orange have offered are:- Nokia 5800 or any nokias on their site HTC (Any on their site) Blackberry (Any on their site) Toshiba TG01 Sony (Any on their site) Samsung (Any on their site) As you can see, i'm in a bit of a dilemma as I don't know which phone to go for or should I simply end my contract and move to a different mobile operator altogether in the hope of a better deal? I look forward to your replies thanks Needurhelp
Guest awarner (MVP) Posted September 21, 2009 Report Posted September 21, 2009 Bit of a late reply, but most people here will advise on a Windows Mobile device as this is a site dedicated to that platform. The Samsung Omnia is about the most used device on the site at the moment followed by various HTC devices with interest picking up on the Android platform. Personally if you want something simple then go for the likes of a Nokia but if making the device more personal with countless applications and modifications then Windows Mobile is the way to go. Android is new but catching up WM devices for interest and customisation.
