Help: Can't Unlock i910 with PIN

Hi,

I have a VZW i910 that I have been running bgill55's 6.5 M2D, I have been running this for months now without issue.

Today when I took my phone of the charger it was powered off, when I turned it on I had a blank screen with just the backlight on.  I tried turning it off and on to no avail and then turned it off and removed the battery.  After replacing the battery the phone booted normally and went to the lock screen as normal.  I have used the same PIN since getting the phone but for some reason it is not taking it.  I have not changed or tried to change the PIN during all of this.

When I try to put the PIN in I get one dot per character, but then pushing the unlock button has no effect, the button does blink as it is pushed.  The phone doesn't unlock, the four dots for my password are still there and I can add additional characters and get more dots, so it is more like it is not registering the press of the unlock button than treating it as a bad PIN.

Other info, I do synch with a work Exchange Server and they had a 5 min lock policy that I am "avoiding" with Zenyee Stay Unlock, this has also been working fine for months.

The phone is powered on ok, clock is updating, msgs being received, also I can sync via USB and I am able to explore the file system, do add remove programs, etc from ActiveSync on the phone ok.  When connected via USB I can also see that the phone is sync-ing ok with the Exchange Server as well.

Also now that I have tried unlocking it a few times in addition to the normal slider I have a voicemail button and email button with the same flashing arrors as the normal lock slider, not seen those before today.

Trying to avoid a hard reset, any suggestions appreciated.

The mystery deepens, but in a good way I guess.

I left my phone connected via USB, watched a movie, was just getting ready to go out the door, tried it again with the same PIN I have been trying the whole time and it logged right in.

So I guess I am ok, but if anyone has any idea what the heck happened let me know.
