I've been flashing with UMDL for months now. today for the first time I got a "WIN_USB INITIALIZE" ERROR? In clicking ok I get a second error box, it reads, "WinUsb_QueryInterfaceSetting Error 1" What is this and what do I do to fix it? I'm scared...

when I first saw this I got scared and reset my computer and hard reset my phone, it boots fine and everything comes up fine but it won't let me flash? I've tried multiple roms.

I get those Errors every time i flash in Win 7... i just click through them all and then it flashes without any issues.

I have gotten that a few times just because i had winamp open. i use windows 7 64 bit. maybe close everything when using it? i dunno!

i just started flashing my phone recently and have since done a bunch of times. im using a pirated release of Win 7 and everytime i forget to cancel the USB connections in Windows Mobile Center i get all of those messages and usually more.

what i found works is double checking that your phone is connecting via storage card and windows mobile center doesn't try and connect to your phone. once that is done, restart the computer and shut the phone off. once rebooted open up the UMDL again and start the process over. you should be fine.

Well, make sure your Activesync usb is not checked.

Also, flashing only .bin, it will be very, very hard to damage your phone since you can always re-flash it back to whatever you choose. The only time my phone was damaged during flashing is when I went out for a smoke and my 2 yr old dropped it down the toilet.

Well, make sure your Activesync usb is not checked.

Also, flashing only .bin, it will be very, very hard to damage your phone since you can always re-flash it back to whatever you choose. The only time my phone was damaged during flashing is when I went out for a smoke and my 2 yr old dropped it down the toilet.

Nope its base you choose whats on I provide a clean slate

I appreciate the slim rom. Do you have any idea where I could find a EZ input rom? I didn't see it in your 2nd post with all the great (and appreciated) roms?
