SMS-Chat and WinMo 6.5

Recommended Posts

Hey all! Although this is my first post on this forum I won't say I'm new here. Been using MoDaCo for quite some time now but haven't exactly had the time to dedicate myself to a forum. So, before I start, just wanted to thank everyone here for all the hard work and devotion towards the Omnia. I really appreciate it.

Anyways, I noticed that programs like G-Alarm and FunContact naturally integrate themselves into 6.5 without a reg edit. So, opening the titanium clock panel brings up G-Alarm, the "contacts" button on the bottom brings up FunContact, etc. But I have yet to find a way to get Vito SMS-Chat to open when I go into "text messages" through the CHome panel. Any suggestions?

Thanks,

EJ

I havent tested this with CHome Panel but I use this Regedit with MS3 so when I click the txt message button it opens sms-chat.

Let me know if it works.

Just take out the\\My Storage if SMS-Chat is on your device.

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Shell\Rai\:MSINBOX]

"1"="\"\\My Storage\\program files\\vito\\sms-chat\\smschat.exe\""

"3"=dword:00000000

"2"=dword:00000000

"0"="SMSCHAT"

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Shell\Rai\:MSINBOX\Session]

@=hex:00,07,DB,2B,2D,C7,C9,01

Ive tried this before. It works on SPBMS3 but not in 6.5. I dont think the titanium panel uses the same MSINBOX path.

I found the solution after long research. Chome use plugin, we must create new titanium plugin for VITO SMS-CHat. There are editors to do that, compile our own plugin and it works. :) I need this to change Ctext with CSMS-Chat. So this is not call regedit path, but direct execution from the cHome plugin.

I think I know what you're talking about. Gonna try that now...

Edit: Tried making a new panel and then adding a page to the original CText panel and neither worked. How exactly did you go about doing that?
