Guest D-OCHO Posted September 22, 2009 Report Posted September 22, 2009 I bought my phone last moth when I was working in the desert. No I want to change my Omnia to a Dutch (XKHJ3) version from an JPHI5 version. I tried almost everything that has been suggested in this and other forums but I keep on getting the "wrong software" error. I changed registry settings, I used different roms but I can not get rid of this error. Who can help me.

Guest weirdo Posted September 22, 2009 Report Posted September 22, 2009 (edited) maby try this also but read it good i copied from other topic so a warning!!!!!!! this is for another guy I guess you have to change your phone version first. These are the steps. * Press the 'dial' key to the left of the optical pad to bring up the dialer * With the onscreen keypad input *#1546792*# * Select 'Preconfiguration' * Enter code *#81230*# and select OK * Select 'Singapore', with the default Operator * Accept this, DEVICE WILL HARD RESET * Run update, and all should be well. The firmware code is split into individual sections: i900 - > model designation (SGH-i900). XX - > region / network carrier designation (XX = Spain - open Market). G - > release year (E = 2007). K - > release month (K = November). 1 - > version number. Guest D-OCHO Posted September 23, 2009 Report Posted September 23, 2009 Ok I managed to change the JPHI5 version to the DXIA5 version using the following webpage: DXIA5 Official Clean Rom I still want to en up with the Dutch XKHJ3 rom. I did the registry change to XKHH1 and changed with an hexedit program the i900XK string to i900DX. Than I started the flash. I says image version verified. Please press OK to reset device. :D I press ok and the Omnia resets. Activesync quits and starts up again and after that nothing. :P :) The downloading window stay grayed out and nothing happens om the Omnia. (No progress bar not on Omnia and not on Computer) Who knows what is wrong??
