Guest xenspidey Posted September 24, 2009 Report Posted September 24, 2009 I've been searching and haven't had any luck at cooking in sdkcerts. I've tried making an oem and even just putting in the SYS. i know it can be done because i've seen it (looks at BW and BGill :) ) Any thoughts?

Place them in a personal OEM RGU file and your done. If your still lost let me know and I will get you an OEM with it in there.

For some reason i thought the xml in the 'windows' folder was what made it tick... registry makes way more sense. Just flashed and my battery icons still don't change (i created an oem of some of jimm98y's battery icons that need sdkcerts)... back at it tomorrow.
Guest xenspidey Posted September 24, 2009 Report Posted September 24, 2009 The battery icons I'm trying to cook in didn't show up but sdkcerts did work. I installed the cab for the icons and it worked without having to install sdkcerts.
Guest WoZZeR999 Posted September 24, 2009 Report Posted September 24, 2009 (edited) SDK Certs is not just a reg entry, it is a certificate. What you are probably talking about is disable unsigned cab warning. edit: btw, anything cooked in does not need a cert. The sdk cert is for stuff installed that is not in the rom. No it wasn't the warning, i tried cooking it in without sdkcerts and it didn't work. i just figured out though that it installs a certificate in the registry itself that i missed in the cab. I put that reg entry in and now it works fine.

Which is set up through the registry.

Guest xenspidey Posted March 11, 2010 Report Posted March 11, 2010 Can you tell me which registry entry do I need to put in the cooked ROM, and where? Thanks! What specifically are you trying to do... I'll try and help if i can.
Guest NilsE Posted March 11, 2010 Report Posted March 11, 2010 If your cooking in the taskbar you do not need the sdkcerts. However, if you are cab'ing in the taskbar make sure you use the newsdkcerts since the old ones expired. If you open the newsdkcerts cab you will see the reg entries in the _setup.xml file. You can install the cab then export them from your registry with something like memmaid.
