Guest meabigbaldguy Posted September 24, 2009 Report Posted September 24, 2009 hello please help i have searched everywhere to find update for my omnia i900 but i cant find it please can you help my phone version is PDA:I900SHHJ2/SHHK2 PHONE:I900XXHJ2 Okay. I was a newbie too at one time so I'll give a brutha a hand here. You can download an official Samsung ROM from directly from samsungmobile.com's Omnia page. Or... you can download a custom ROM from this forum in the i900 ROM forum section. There, you will find many topics for custom ROM's, but I suggest that you first read the "how to flash a ROM" topic under the section on the front page of this forum that says "Pinned Topics". Now a little more advice for you. If you choose to flash an official ROM, then you will be limited to flashing a ROM from your phone's current country. If you have a branded phone (eg. Vodafone, Orange, Tmobile), you may not be able to flash an official ROM because the branded ROM will prevent this from happening. If you choose to flash a custom ROM, then these ROMs are NOT limited to brand or country, so you can flash these as they hacked and not limited to country or region. They are, however, custom, so they may contain some bugs, but they are otherwise EXCELLENT. Please also take note that because they are free because a lot of time and work goes into them, consider that if one should displease you, then don't be contemptive towards the ROM creator. Don't attempt to flash ROMS between the i900, i910, i900L, or any other variant of the Omnia! The moment you flash anything other than an official ROM, or an offical branded update, is the moment you kill your warranty! Flashing from XP is much easier to do than with Vista. For XP, you will need to install the attached CAB - won't work without it! For Vista, please search through the forum for others who've done it already. I use XP, so I cannot help you with that. From what I understand, it's not so straight forward. Good luck!!! :)Samsung_Modem_XP_Driver.zip

If the red light on your of/on button isn't turning on anymore it's probably the end. Try and contact Samsung, just say it's broke and nothing about what you were doing. Maybe they will replace it. Good luck
