Yes, I think you just need to use the DNLA service which is installed on all Omnia's by default.

Thanks for your reply. I did some digging about DNLA and found out that there's an application (connected home) wich lets you connect to DNLA servers (could be a xp pc with wmp11) or create a server to stream media to DNLA capable hardware. As far as I read, this is not enough to play content on the phone as some error about renderers appear when trying to play files (Haven't tried that myself yet).

There's a media player called Conduits Pocket Player, which has as optional download a plugin for upnp, which allows to do what I want. I'll try them.
