Guest Xentrax Posted September 27, 2009 Report Posted September 27, 2009 My Omnia tends to enable WiFi on its own, typically when left unattended in suspend mode. Moreover, it seems after that it won't suspend. It seems to be running there doing something until battery is fully discharged. Sometimes I find i900 with display on and WiFi on. I want to know what causes this behaviour. I switched to 30 min interval in Wi-Fi settings before WM will automatically disable WiFi power die to inactivity (it's in Settings | Connections | Wi-Fi | Menu | Advanced). Also I use GMail via IMAP and Direct Push connection to Exchnage Server. I have SKTools and SPB Mobile Shell 3.0.1 installed. I looked through WM Services and Schedule Events (using SKTools) and did not find anything unusual. I don't think Pocket Outlook can cause this. Also I don't think that it's a bug in Microsft's "Connection Manager", it's a dumb API which can only control cellular data connection and only if WiFi or ActiveSync are both off.
