Guest j006 Posted September 27, 2009 Report Posted September 27, 2009 So I'm still waiting for my Google Voice invite so I decided to try this. It actually works flawlessly on my Omnia and it's free! You set up an account online, install the .cab file and set up call forwarding and you're done. If someone calls and leaves a voicemail, the Fusion website receives the audio, converts it to MP3, and pushes it to your phone via the data connection. It all happens seamlessly. The Fusion app loads automatically and lists your voicemails in chronological order, and you can set the contacts picture to display beside the voicemail info and a host of other options. You can also get SMS notifications or get the audio sent to an email address in addition. It works great! http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/en-...honefusion.mspx or http://www.fusionvoicemailplus.com/ The xda-developers thread is here (updated .cab version 2.2): http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread...ighlight=fusion There is one caveat however? When you tap to play the voicemail, it opens up whatever program you have associated to play an MP3. In my case it's Nitrogen. The problem is that the phone thinks it's music and plays it thru the external speaker, which you can imagine is not necessarily desired when you are listening to voicemail. I'm sure you can intercept the communication between the Fusion program and your audio player to route the sound to the earpiece speaker with Mortscript (or something) somehow, but I'm trying to figure that out now. Any ideas guys? Cheers!

Guest Shemmy Posted September 29, 2009 Report Posted September 29, 2009 When you use call forwarding, you also burn plan minutes.

True, but with Verizon I have Fusion's forwarding service's number set up as one of my five "Friends & Family" numbers, so all calls to it are free. :) Around the external MP3 player issue, I emailed them yesterday and they are working on the app to include a player within it so that the external player won't be called, which will solve the only issue I have with it. It's working great otherwise Cheers!
