Can you update wm 6.1 to 6.5 on omnia i900

I am very much a newby in this. I have heard a lot of talk on this forum concerning wm 6.5 and was curious whether i could upgrade my omnia to wm6.5. If so, how can this be achieved and what are the implications? Grateful if someone can help.
