Guest jt3009 Posted February 1, 2003 Report Posted February 1, 2003 can someone tell me what the differnce is between mmc and sd cards and which one is the best for the spv-----cheers
Guest Will Posted February 1, 2003 Report Posted February 1, 2003 In simple terms SD cards are a little faster reading/writing than MMC's Also SD cards have a little switch so you can prevent accidental overwriting. People have had some issues with MMC's and the SPV, (wrong size reported by the phone etc). MMC's Used to be cheaper than SD cards, now the price is comparable. IMHO use SD cards! for the lowdown on MMC vc SD http://www.geocities.com/romidar/mmcvssd.htm Will
Guest xanadu Posted February 1, 2003 Report Posted February 1, 2003 SD cards have a 4 bit data bus. MMC cards have a 1 bit data bus. Therefore SD cards can transfer data faster as the bus is larger. Some MMC cards do not work in the SPV, and therefore most people use SD cards.
