Bluetooth gps receivers: will they work in my pocket?

Hi, I've been using my omnia gps for geocaching, but some days it just won't pick up a signal. at all. Have people had any luck with external receivers? Do they pick up a signal faster? Also, once they're locked on, will they work from inside your pocket?

yes yes and yes also they are typically more power efficient
