Guest necosino Posted October 2, 2009 Report Posted October 2, 2009 Call up samsung tech support, or a local service center, because chances are it's beat. :)

It seems a common error caused by grandpix... i've seen some ppl here with the same problem but no one has solved it.
Guest necosino Posted October 2, 2009 Report Posted October 2, 2009 If the actual EBOOT sector gets corrupted, it seems that the Omnia's won't even boot up, so you can't re-flash or anything :) Wish I had better news for you. :/

Guest Bruno Adler Posted October 2, 2009 Report Posted October 2, 2009 (edited) Maybe there's one option lefting... i just don't know how. Somehow my computer still recognize the phone not as samsung but as a "Unknown device" it means that it's still there, but since it has no drivers it cannot be recognized by the computer. Any ideas? Guest scalen Posted October 3, 2009 Report Posted October 3, 2009 hey man calm down .First your omnia is fine and i am sure you are using windows vista just try it on windows xp. Download the original rom and install omnia software on windows xp ,Then connect your device and open the original rom and then turn on your device it should detect it.

Guest ChromeNewt Posted October 20, 2009 Report Posted October 20, 2009 Any advances on this at all? I've had exactly the same thing happen to me. :)
Guest KSTAN Posted October 20, 2009 Report Posted October 20, 2009 No chances, once the eboot is corrupted or flashing is not completed, the phone will brick. This happen to me a few times using my office laptop. somehow there's no problem with my laptop at home. This could be due to too much junk or drivers causing the problems and perhaps the usb driver or port and maybe the phone doesn't like my office laptop. If Grandprix can't even detect ur phone when u try to flash it again, ur only choice is to send it to the service centre. It is safer to use XP to update. :)
