bizarro text input bug - sometimes it inserts a period!

Hey, every now and then when I'm typing or writing via letter recognizer, I'll finish entering a word and press space. Instead of inputting a space, the omnia inserts a period between the last character and the second-to-last character.

Anybody know why this happens? Or how to fix it?

Use google, or the Modaco search function, seriously..

This is a known issue. Use another keyboard.

Well, I did search this forum, with multiple combinations of the words keyboard, bug, inserts, and period, and I only found one mention of it, which didn't list a solution and it only relates to Opera. Same thing on google. Sorry if I bothered you.

No bother, just had to cut that reply short (boss came in, haha!)

Does it only happen when you are using Opera? I think it's a bug with Opera not the keyboard.....i have the same issue since the update from Verizon.
