Do any of you get GPS signal on cloudy days?

I think I've finally found my problem with the GPS: It doesn't work when there's no sky visible through the clouds.

Does that sound likely? Do you get signal through the clouds anyway?

My GPS is extremely dodgy too, sometimes it works perfectly and gets a fix within like 10 seconds, other times I have to wait 10 minutes for a fix. Then soon as it gets 1 satellite, it builds up to 6 or 8 really fast, no matter what the weather is.

I think the Omnia's GPS is just really really cheap, or we have bad drivers

Does upgrading the ROM make GPS work better?

Im running garmin and have had no troubles during any kinda weather! Even durin storms. Sometimes it does lock quicker than other times but mostly its quick enough. Upgrading the rom does make a difference IMHO. Some roms actually have a better GPS fix within them, and usually the chef will state that! Im currently running on Kuhanchai's WM6.1 Omnia II rom, and its pretty good with the GPS locking. Have used others such as sector, QBUS, and shokka. All have had better GPS lock than the Standard rom that came with the phone from Vodafone!

I just use google maps, I'm on Adrynalyne's CF03 6.5 ROM right now.
