Guest jt3009 Posted February 1, 2003 Report Posted February 1, 2003 i saw new games advertised at http://www.microsoft.com/mobile/smartphone...sp?sid=1&pid=12 but i dont know how to get them does anyone know of where i can get any games other then casino tennis and slurp???
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted February 1, 2003 Report Posted February 1, 2003 These were advertised when the phone first came out but they were never released . There may have been some demos flying about but I never saw any. Do a search in the software section for more games signed and unsigned, where this post is now about to go to. ;)
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted February 2, 2003 Report Posted February 2, 2003 http://www.hexacto.com/games_list.php Patience please....
Guest DJ WATTS Posted February 2, 2003 Report Posted February 2, 2003 mmmh, i can understand evryone wanting the games and patience is a must but surley it cant be too hard to get them games out can it? Look at some of the clever people on here that have done things like Doom, LucasArts emulator and GB Emulator for Smartphone. Maybe the wrong people have the jobs in making/converting games to Smartphone... Wont be holding my breath for those games anytime soon but rather i will put my trust in the some of the clever people here with their talent and freeware conversion software releases. My thanks go out to these people trying to realise the full potential of the Smartphone and there hard work in doing so.;)
Guest Gorskar Posted February 2, 2003 Report Posted February 2, 2003 It's not that people aren't able to make the games. It's the certification rubbish that's holding everything back. When you are releasing a comercial game then you need to have it certified so that everyone can play it, and so that it will still work if the de-certification loophole is ever closed. Orange have been providing pathetic support to developers wanting to get their games signed, which is probably the biggest reason that we aren't seeing more. Eg, Motocross Stunt Racer and Bust em were completed at around about the time of the SPV's launch, but have only just completed certification last week, due to the heel dragging of Orange.
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted February 2, 2003 Report Posted February 2, 2003 Also from a sales point of view, if you release all your games at the same time, its likely you'll sell less than if you release them gradually over a 6 month period. There will be more demand for each game individually if they are released over a longer space of time Hope that makes sence :/
