I'm sure I read it on here at some point, but now I don't see it and a search came up blank :) How do I remove Peep?

Thanks.

Could someone remind me where I find QuickOffice on apps2sd (Modaco 2.9)

I found and removed it earlier, but with so many wipes and installs, it's back and I've forgotten where it is :D

Sorry, QuickOffice isn't mentioned. I removed all the other bits I didn't want, but as you state in post #1 QuickOffice is moved to the SD card... and I can't find it :D

apps are installed in either /system/app or /data/app. or /data/app-private if it is protected.

Hmm, I was almost certain the ones on the SD card had either /sd/ or /sdcard/ somewhere in there? No?

Also, if I remove Java, is that linked to the browser in anyway? Will pages using java work? (Sorry, my understanding of Java is very limited)

All apps if you still want find them are in system/sd you can uninstall quickoffice in app manager anyway no need to adb

that is because /data/app is a link to /system/sd/app which is actually what apps2sd does...

the note about app manager is correct, since the apps are in the regular "app storage" they can be uninstalled via regular methods.

yeah, which is what he said AFTER i pointed him to the "linked" path... imho /data/app is the correct reference for the path as it is independent of apps2sd, your apps will alway be there whether they are on sd or internal mem, stock or custom rom...

If I remove Peep in this way, is there anyway of getting it back, or is it gone for good? And also will this stop the twitter notifications in the status bar? I follow enough people that this is pretty much always there, so becomes a bit pointless!
