Guest GodsGift Posted October 5, 2009 Report Posted October 5, 2009 (edited) Got a problem with SPB Mobile Shell 3.5 on my Omnnia i900. I'm using Sectors 6.5 24049 Firmware. Whenever I click on either the Facebook widget or the Twitter widget I get "Failed to Connect to the Internet" Its suggested on another site to change the Browser Connection settings to Internet or Automatic but neither helps. Anyone got any ideas? Or dont these features work on WinMo 6.5? Cheers, GG Edited October 5, 2009 by GodsGift
Guest necosino Posted October 5, 2009 Report Posted October 5, 2009 On an i910 using build 23414, it connects just fine with stock settings.
Guest Drury Posted October 5, 2009 Report Posted October 5, 2009 i had this problem go to settings / connection / browser and select Automatically detect settings this worked for me
Guest sid0101 Posted October 5, 2009 Report Posted October 5, 2009 i thought i had this problem too, but in fact i was just not reading the warning message that popped up when i tried to connect with the widgets. At least for facebook, when the warning pop up comes up, you need to hit cancel.
Guest DJRedLine Posted October 6, 2009 Report Posted October 6, 2009 i had this problem go to settings / connection / browser and select Automatically detect settings this worked for me Unfortunately that did not work for me. I also on Sector's 23049 ROM with Vodafone network. It is definately something to do with the network connection as Opera, Pocketwit etc work fine on my Internet connection, but the fbook and twitter widgets seem to use the 'contractWAP' connection and im unable to get this to stay as default setting.
Guest Drury Posted October 6, 2009 Report Posted October 6, 2009 im using Shokka's 23034 rom and Vodafone PostPay
Guest antwilson Posted October 6, 2009 Report Posted October 6, 2009 I had the same problem - i deleted cookies, history etc in opera and IE. Once id done this, i deleted the saved passwords for facebook in opera - settings - privacy - password management. then log into facebook again using either IE or opera - and it should work OK.
