How have I managed to use 90MB of my 95MB space?!

Hi all,

Possibly dumb question again but I'm not sure how I've managed to use 80MB of my 95MB of storage space on my Omnia.

I have removed *all* of my installed programs (I kinda like SPB Mobile Shell but unless I can pull back at least another 20MB, I can't see how I can run it leaving only 5MB left!).

Any thoughts? Am I using a bloated build? (DXIA5/2) Am I missing something obvious?

Cheers

Vicky

Are you referring to your RAM or Internal Storage? RAM is used up by running programs. Internal Storage is used by installing programs/pictures/movies/temporary internet files, etc.

On the 'Settings - Memory' tab I have:

Storage

Total: 94.20MB

In Use: 78.66MB

Free: 15.55MB

Program

Total: 96.55MB

In Use: 41.51MB

Free: 55.04MB

Cheers

Vicky

P.S. I'm happy to flash to clear it up if it's not an easy-ish fix.

Heya - went to have a look around the ROMs and found a shiny looking one that I've flashed to now so don't worry about answering unless it's something that other people might find helpful too.

(Oddly, I seem to have gotten back an additional 60MB that wasn't there at all before (Total = 150MB+ now) - guess my HDD was a bit fried and a format fixed it.)

Thanks for your prompt response anyway. :)

In the future, you may want to try out ClearTemp in order to.. well.. clear your temp files stored in My Device.. lol.. :)

I second that... I ran ClearTemp and it cleared out nearly 15MB of crap on my phone... works great.

another thing for those who like using mobile shell but have space issues is you can use sk tools "move data" feature to move mobile shell to my storage so it frees up the space on your phones memory
