Guest gayflag Posted October 7, 2009 Report Posted October 7, 2009 Its friggin huge. Does it come with a manly purse to carry it around in?
Guest dbsimms63 Posted October 7, 2009 Report Posted October 7, 2009 Who will be the US carrier for the Leo? I know Verizon is getting an HTC called the Imagio, are they the same phone? If so what are the differenced between it and the Omnia 2? I was thinking of upgrading and giving my wife my modded Omnia i910.

Guest shokka9 Posted October 7, 2009 Report Posted October 7, 2009 there are lots of new phones due to hit before xmas.... i waiting till March/April... If Leo is still KING...i will get it. I been waiting for it for ages!!!

O the Leo how i want you. & that screen size will look so good in my hand. Hmm What about Toshiba's TG01 its a snap drag. chip as well & 4.1 screen, im soo jealous of the UK & well everywhere but the US, the fact that they get all the best toys first :D O and i haven't heard about any of these devices to be available in the US anytime soon. :)

I have the same idea, I think our best bet for Verizon will be the Imagio or the Omnia II I personal think the Omnia II will have a few better things then the Imagio like: 1. WVGA vs. AMOLED 2. 3.6 vs. 3.7 3. Not as much of a finger print magnet vs. total finger print magnet 4. TouchFlo 3D vs. TouchWiz 2.0 http://gizmodo.com/5291053/samsung-omnia-2...ming-to-verizon http://reviews.cnet.com/cell-phones/htc-im...7-33773057.html Im waiting to get my hands on them both and let that be the judge.
Guest Turborepu Posted October 8, 2009 Report Posted October 8, 2009 if that comes to verizon i will be sleeping on the sofa for a long time.. unless i get put in the garage lol..
Guest bga7x Posted October 8, 2009 Report Posted October 8, 2009 As Of Right Now This will be my Next Phone!!
Guest Mastergreeny Posted October 8, 2009 Report Posted October 8, 2009 That thing does look pretty amazing...Screen is so huge!!!
Guest dopeness Posted October 8, 2009 Report Posted October 8, 2009 i was going to pay for an overseas version anyway. when Pocketnow reported it was coming to the US i smiled so hard my cheeks popped. so, yes, this will be my next phone no mattter the carrier.
Guest GodsGift Posted October 8, 2009 Report Posted October 8, 2009 Now I am really peeved....... Am in the UK on Orange and thought my contract was nearly up but now I find out its a "rolling" contract so not over till Feb and whilst they might let me upgrade in November Orange UK say they arent carrying this phone! FFS Now, how to jailbreak a contract? Want it! GG
Guest Shemmy Posted October 8, 2009 Report Posted October 8, 2009 I'm strongly considering the Imagio myself.
Guest WoZZeR999 Posted October 8, 2009 Report Posted October 8, 2009 I was looking at the imagio. It looks like it's a good phone, but it will probably have a short life span (tp2 will only have a few months). Leo is rumored to come out Q1 2010 in the US (probably GSM first, ATT/Tmo). This will be my next phone, the only problem might be that it's too big, but at the moment, this is the phone I am saving $$ for.
Guest Shemmy Posted October 8, 2009 Report Posted October 8, 2009 I was looking at the imagio. It looks like it's a good phone, but it will probably have a short life span (tp2 will only have a few months). I'm having my 3rd Omnia in less than 90 days sent to me because of HW issues (currently, I can't get the phone to turn on, no matter what ROM I flash to, even the stock one). If I have any problems with the one that should be arriving via FedEx tomorrow, I'm requesting an Imagio.
Guest DirtySanchez Posted October 9, 2009 Report Posted October 9, 2009 if that comes to verizon i will be sleeping on the sofa for a long time.. unless i get put in the garage lol.. well if u are like me my contract is ready now & now i have to make a choice, Wait for Leo to maybe come to Verizon some time before next summer or buy the Imagio or Omnia II now and maybe be stuck looking at the phone i really want. :)
Guest WoZZeR999 Posted October 12, 2009 Report Posted October 12, 2009 The HD2 (Leo) is dropping for GSM on Nov 11th (everywhere except the US). Our GSM ahs extra bands (all the 3g stuff), so we would not get 3g speeds on the HD2. That said, I would expect around feb-march for a US GSM HD2, and probably a bit after that for CDMA HD2 (think TP2 timeline). Tmobus got the TP2 first, then the CDMA version came out (then ATT, because they are behind on the time). I'm waiting until around march before I do anything. If I hear of VZW coming out with a CDMA HD2 (or similar phone) shortly after that, I'll wait. If not, I'll probably jump the VZW ship and go with who ever has the HD2. The omnia 2 doesn't really hold my interest, and after seeing the Imagio (I haven't been able to see it live yet) that may be a viable option depending on what I hear in the coming months. My only worry is that since the Imagio is not a normal TD2, it may not recieve the support that a global HTC phone would get (whitestone/imagio is CDMA only, and related to the TD2).
Guest Shemmy Posted October 12, 2009 Report Posted October 12, 2009 From what I've heard about the Imagio, I think I'm going to be wiating for the Leo as well, or at least to see what's out Q1.
Guest arirang Posted October 13, 2009 Report Posted October 13, 2009 (edited) are we all switching over to the leo when it launches? I don't want anyone modding my phone but you guys! group hug. http://www.engadget.com/2009/10/06/htc-hd2...ideo/#continued to paraphrase a quote, "it's the battery, stupid." i wont be jumping on the "fastest proc, highest resolution" bandwagon. based on the CPU and LCD specs, this will be a battery draining monster--its battery [1230mah] is actually 'weaker' than the omnia i910 [1500mah]. who needs millions of colors and snappy GUI if the device cant last longer than a day of normal usage? the ideal is to be mobile and untethered by wires [inclding power outlet]. ASAIK, HTC isnt using some proprietary technology that prolongs battery without clocking down the CPU, reducing backlighting, etc. battery technology is lagging and is the weakest link. the omnia i910 whether by serendipity or shrewd engineering is in the sweet spot when it comes to balance of battery usage, resolution, and CPU speed. Guest tshow84 Posted October 15, 2009 Report Posted October 15, 2009 Its going to T-Mobile... :) // jumps off cliff wearing VZ fanboy costume // :(
Guest tacchan23 Posted October 15, 2009 Report Posted October 15, 2009 Omnia2 is better :) Jocking aside, probably the HTC HD2 will be better than Omnia2 BUT there are some things to be checked when it's actually on sale: 1) how is the battery life 2) how it feels in my hand/pocket (size) 3) how I can go back to a non AMOLED screen without crying for a month 4) price^^
Guest Shemmy Posted October 16, 2009 Report Posted October 16, 2009 Well, I'm now the owner of an Imagio - it's a great phone. The only thing I miss is the 8GB of on-board storage.
Guest Turborepu Posted October 24, 2009 Report Posted October 24, 2009 I got an imagio on Thursday too.. I love it.. I dont miss the onboard storage because I had become a flashaholic i always stored everything on my sdcard instead. Miss not having a flash to use a flashlight though. Thanks to all the chefs out there who made my time with the Omnia much better than VZW ever could have achieved.
