Hey guys I looked everywhere and I swear I'm not reading something right but I want to be able to use XDA_UC to install silently (with out me pressing anything) all my cabs into my "My Storage".

As of right now when I start my XDA_UC will install all my cabs into my /device. I tried looking up SDConfig.txt and it seems that it looks like its just telling the program where the cabs are located just not where I need them to install too.

If anyone can help and post there SD config or how I can get this to work on my omnia I will be very thankful!

get on msn! lol

I been googling for like the last 3 hours and nothing I can use unless im just not understanding it right. Because the cabs change all the time, i woudl think it would be easier to just specify where each cab goes than going in and editing a bunch of cabs especially cause new versions come out etc.

I just know I used to use sahami and it would install to the storage i was pretty sure XDA_UC had the same thing and you can just tell it to install to storage instead of /device

Not home yet, but i will be on in about 2/3 hours....i am cooking tonight!!

There probably is a way to do it, look on the xda site, the thread where it originates from.

To be honest, i have that much room left after flashing, i dont care where my apps are installed

:)

laters

PS - use WinCE Cab Manager to create a cab that will only install to the Storage Card

Well I been reading and googling and searching so maybe ill find it. But what im trying to do is install a bunch of games to my mystorage

so I don't want my /device getting ate up by games its not worht it. But I have a 8gb storage and 8gb microsdhc empty almost and I can't use them unless I install every game or app one by one which kinda defeats the purpose

like i said bro, just edit the installation path of all your cabs (or cabs you know that work fine in Storage Card).

Then you know all yours are going to the right place.

But i always end up with over 100mb free, even after installing my apps. You must install a lot bro :)

Did you fix M2D.......have you seen my thread bro?

create a XDA_UC\SD folder on your SD card and you'll get the option where to install.. But you have to click and select for each cab you install,, it's not completely automatic.

Yes i know that if I put it in SD i can choose somewhere to go but I want it completely automatic lol if anything I might have to go back to shashimi. They had a option to install to SD with sashimi but I think XDA\_UC is a bit quicker

as we say in UK....

Swings and Roundabouts!!

I prefer UC, its quicker and smaller, and a lot less work.

Sashimi is cool too, but if you never used it, it looks daunting, but it isnt really.

Pro's & Con's to them both!

Yea thats why I went with UC because what your saying is right. But for me its like I don't want to install my apps to my /device. I wanted flash and all my settings go back the way they were and be done with it. I flash alot and I have to test my own roms so I knew someone somehwere had to have this figured out or thought about it. I will keep googling but seems like its going no where

Didnt notice ur post before but no i didnt try the fix with m2d just yet when i get back to the office i will. And im mostly trying to do this for installation of my games really and some other apps that i dont' feel like installing every single time lol

In order to do it under XDA_UC folder create another folder Storage and put your cabs in it.. it will get installed in the storage card. If you want your cabs to ask you the installation path during installation create a folder named Manual under XDA_UC.
